Mrs. Dovie Lee "Nanny" Weeks, age 81 of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Weeks was born in Tallapossa, GA on April 22, 1928, to the late Leon and Olivia King.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Weeks.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Thomas (Gary) and Cathy Edgar (Ronnie) both of Griffin; One son Ray Weeks (Cathy) of Jackson; sister and brother, Dorothy Bell of Tallapoosa and Lloyd King (Marisa) of Breman.
Other survivors include grandchildren, Samantha Bell (Ron), Tracy McDaniel (Michael), Joshua Warner (Allison), Mary Aaron (Todd), Kim Edgar, Wendy Woodruff (Darryl), Jamie Festerman (Coleman), Brandon Weeks (Kaitlin) and Kelli Weeks as well as fifteen great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM on Monday December 21, 2009, in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Todd Aaron, Rev. Darryl Woodruff and Pastor Andy Cunningham will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens.
