Floyd "Snuffy" Camp, 86, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, in a local nursing center. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Potosi Cemetery, with Rev. H.B. Terry, Jr. officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born August 30, 1917 in Coleman, Texas, Floyd was the son of William and Cora (Kerbow) Seaborn. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard for a total of 22 years. In civilian life, he had been a cook at Mack Eplen's Drivateria. He married Pearl Kemp on June 11, 1946; she died in 1981. He then married Angie Sullivan; she died in 1995; then in 1996 he married Lucille Wilis; she died in 2001. Mr. Camp moved to Abilene in 1957 and was a member of Broadview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, a sister, Gertrude Ellis, and a brother, Billy Camp....
