Bob was the son of Henry Edwin Simpson & Mary Elizabeth Whelan. He married Frances McDermott on 10 August 1954. Bob was a timberman. In 1921, he had the first crystal radio set in the community. Later, Bob built he own set & could hear as far away as Havana, Peru, & England. He started a fertilizer business on the corner of the Simpson farm in the mid-1960's. Bob & his partner Francis had a thriving business in the 1970's.
