Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Greg Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Callicutt Memorial Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, the owner and operator of Cagle's Welding Shop and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are wife, Lucy Bray Cagle of the home; daughters, Brenda C. Vuncannon of Asheboro, Marjorie C. Nance of Denton; son, Walter Ronald "Ronnie" Cagle of Asheboro; sister, Rachel Brown of Asheboro; brothers, James Cagle and Hal Cagle, both of Asheboro; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday, other times at the home.
