Clifford R. Fry, age 98 of Richland Center died on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Bloomfield Manor near Dodgeville. Clifford was born in Dodgeville, WI on July 31, 1909 to David and Lydia (Carter) Fry. He graduated from the Sextonville High School. He later worked in Chicago and the General Telephone Company and briefly attended the University of North Dakota. On November 12, 1934 he married the former Leona Chitwood and she preceded him in death on March 10, 2004. Clifford farmed for most of his life and retired from Wisconsin Dairies (Foremost). He was a member of the Sextonville and later the Richland Center Odd Fellow Lodge. Clifford played in dance bands for many years in the area. Survivors include his 3 children: Francis (Mary Lou) Fry of Dodgeville. Ruth (Kelly) Mundt of Prairie du Chien. Philip (Cheryl) Fry of Oshkosh. Grandchildren: Cedric, David & Daniel Fry; John & Kristin Mundt; Kevin Fry. 9 Great Grandchildren. 4 Step Grandchildren. 2 Step Great Grandchildren. 2 sisters: Ella Rienke of Madison, Alice Lyster of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his sister, Grace Williams and brother, Henry Fry. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Pastor Mary Jeffries will officiate with burial in the Sextonville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of the services.
