West Taylor Tonship Woman Ill Long Time with Bright's Disease
Following a long illness with Bright's Disease with which she was confined to her bed for three weeks, Mrs. Abbie Ann rummel, wife of Jonathan H. Rummel, died at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home in West Taylor Township at the age of 53 years.
Abbie Ann Dishong was born in Jackson Township and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Dishong. Her mother still lives in the vicinity of Portage. Her husband died several years ago and the following children survive: Mary Ann, wife of W. H. Shearman of West Taylor Township: John of West Fairfield: Samantha, wife of George Orner of 327 Cooper Avenue: Catherine A. wife of Elmer Rager of West Taylor Township: Flora Ellen, George B., Elpha T., Irvin S., and rosie Geraldine, all at home. Jacobs S. and David H. are dead.
She is also survived by the following brothers and sissters: George Dishong of Jackson Township: David Dishong of Tanneryville: Noah Dishong of Ebensburg: Elizabeth, wife of John Philips, of West Taylor Township: Annie, wife of Henry Rummel, of East Wheatfield Township: Catherine wife of Henry Ribblet of Conemaugh: Julia, wife of William Bowser, of Portage, and Amanda, wife of David Rose, of Jackson Township. A large number of grandchildren survive.
The Rev. H.B. Seese will have charge of the funeral services, to be held in the old U. E. Church in West Taylor Township on Monday morning. the remains will be taken from the house at 10 o'clock to the church. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
