Born February 3, 1932 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Vester Miller Lovelace and Myrtle Jane Weaver Lovelace. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hal Costner; three brothers, George Lovelace, James Lovelace and Earl Lovelace; and four sisters, Vertie Mae Goins, Ella Henderson, Gertrude White and Darcus Rhyne.
Mrs. Costner is survived by a sister, Evelyn Willis of Cherryville and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of Carolina Care Center of Cherryville for all of thier loving care of Mrs. Costner.
