Erma Lucille "Lucy" Blair, 82 of Petroleum, passed away at 2:38 a.m. Thursday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Lucy was born on April 20, 1931 in Wells County to Arnold Ivins and Gladys (Haughton) Ivins. She graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1949. On May 12, 1956 in Fountain City, Indiana, Lucy and Carl L. Blair were married. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1993.
A homemaker, Lucy worked at Kitco in Bluffton and retired from C.T.S. in Berne in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her family, puzzles and watching birds, football, basketball and NASCAR.
Lucy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Bluffton.
She is survived by her family; Larry (Joanne) Ivins of Indianapolis, Rick Blair of Indianapolis, Vickie (Jerry) Ripple of Bluffton, Jack (Terri) Blair of Ossian, Cindy (Brian) Koester of Fort Wayne and Mike (Mary) Blair of Bluffton and six grandchildren; Jesse (Sara) Blair of Carmel, Ryan Blair of Bluffton, Jordan Blair of Ossian, Nicole Blair of Bluffton and Brianna Koester of Fort Wayne.
She is also survived by siblings; Virginia Ivins of Bluffton, Kaye (Juanita) Ivins of Bluffton and Ivan Ivins of Keystone along with a sister-in-law Evelyn Ivins of Bluffton. She is preceded in death by a grandson Chase Blair and a brother Edson Ivins.
Funeral services for Lucy will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (October 8, 2013) at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Rev. Paul Hunteman will officiate. Burial will take place at Stahl Cemetery in Wells County.
Calling hours will be held on from 2 to 8 on Monday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the memorial of the donor's choice.
