OBITUARY - TECUMSEH CHIEF - TECUMSEH, JOHNSON, NEBRASKA - 12 November 1970 - Sec. A5 - col. 6
Mrs Charles Weakland of Tecumseh died Tuesday, November 3, in the Johnson County hospital in Tecumseh at the age of 78 years. She was born December 15, 1891 to Joseph and Julia (Albergetti) Fonte of Tecumseh. Her schooling was obtained in the District 29 county school. January 10, 1921, she became the wife of Charles Weakland of Tecumseh. Two children were born to this union. Mrs. Weakland was a member of the St. Andrew altar guard.
Survivors include her widower, Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Lyle (Regina) Lidolph of Mishawaha, Ind.; a son, Leonard of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Major Fonte of Auburn, Wash., and Ethan Fonte of Denver, Colo.
Funeral services were held Friday in the St. Andrew Catholic church with Fr. James Halligan officiating. Pallbearers were Harry Fonte, Robert Fonte, George Fonte, Darell Mahoney, Patrick J. Mahoney and Raymond Weakland. Interment was in the St. Andrew Catholic cemetery.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were Ethan Fonte of Denver, Colo., Harry, Bob and George Fonte of Wray, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. John Lillich of Carleton, Mr. and Mrs. M.J.
