The following was entered in the Lachute Memorial Stone Inscriptions Book, as copied from the headstone located in the Lachute Protestant Cemetery:
"In memory of William Murdoch, died February 1877, aged 21 years. Lena Murdoch died August 16, 1881, aged 1 year, 2 months and 11 days. Also infant son March 22, 1884. Macle (?) died 1885?"
NOTE: It is evident from checking family trees at Ancestry that this child was born in 1877 and died in 1877. Obviously an error in the transcription as having died at the age of 21 years.
Additional note regarding headstone: Macle is probably Mable who died in 1885.
