Pfc. Victor A. Dew, 20, of Granite Bay, Calif., died Oct. 13 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was ssigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif. Victor is survived by his parents, Tom and Patty Schumacher, siblings, Kyle and Katie Schumacher, Carolyn Dew Calderan, Casey Calderan, Darrell Dew, Jr., and Jason Dew; grandparents, Bernie and Ruth Schumacher, Sarah Videll; fiancée Courtney Gold; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
