OBITUARY: Ned Wayne Martz, 23, of RD 3, Bedford, died Saturday, November 1, 1969 as a result of injuries which he sustained in an automobile accident 10 miles south of Bedford on US 220. He was born December 26, 1945, in Binghamton, N.Y., the son of W. Wilson and F. LaRue (Mensch) Martz. He was married July 24, 1968 to the former Sue Ellen Taggart. He is survived by his parents, his wife, a son, Michael Troy, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Mensch, of Millheim, Pa. Also surviving are a sister and two brothers, Mrs. James Zembower, of RD 3, Bedford, W. Wilson Martz, Jr., and Gary L. Martz, both of Bedford. He was a graduate of Bedford High School. He was a member of the Bedford Valley United Methodist Church, the Bedford Post American Legion, and a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam war. He was discharged from the service March 30, 1968, and was currently employed by the Westinghouse Plant, Bedford. Funeral services: Tuesday, November 4, at 2 p.m. in the Stewart Funeral Home, Everett, with the Rev. Fred Hickock officiating. Burial in the Bedford County Memorial Park. Military rites by the Bedford Post American Legion will be conducted at the grave site. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (Beford Gazette, Bedford, PA.
