Luella was the daughter of Louis Werner & Louise Blum. She married Virgil Edwards on 12 January 1924 & they had 4 daughters. - from Lillie Riney

Mrs. Luella Werner Edwards, 42, of 339 North Calhoun street, died in the Decatur and Macon County hospital at 9:05 p. m. Friday after an illness of three years. Born in Highland, March 1, 1905, Mrs. Edwards came to Decatur 12 years ago from Buffalo, Ill., in 1935. She married Virgil Edwards in Joliet Jan. 12, 1924. She was the daughter of Louis and Louise Blum Werner. She was a member of the Grace Methodist church. Besides her husband she leaves four children, Mrs. Leslie Cobb, Louisville. Ky.; Mrs. Ross Caylor, Decatur; Dorothy Louise and Mary Elizabeth, at home, in addition to a brother, O. W. Werner of Joliet, and a sister, Mrs. Ora Ammann. of Highland, and one grandchild. The body is at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home where friends may call after 10 a. m. Sunday. Services will be held at 3 p. m. Monday in the chapel with burial in Graceland cemetery.
