Joseph Richard "Duggy" Emily of Cadet, Missouri was born on Friday, May 6, 1932 in Cadet, Missouri to the late, Florence (Pickett) Emily and Christopher Emily.

Joseph departed this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at his residence having reached the age of seventy-eight years, five months and seven days.

Joseph is survived by four daughters, Phyllis Hobson and husband, Robbie of Cadet, Missouri, Tammy Brown of DeSoto, Missouri, Carla Emily and fiancé, Rick Norman of Festus, Missouri, Christine Ketcherside and husband, Brad of Paragould, Arkansas; four sons, Joseph Emily, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Cadet, Missouri, Homer Emily and wife, Ginger of Clinton, Louisiana, Zackary Emily of Cadet, Missouri; Cary "Chico" Emily and wife, Dawn of Cadet, Missouri; one sister, Dolly Skaggs and husband, Roscoe of Bonne Terre, Missouri; one brother, Henry Emily and wife, Lorine of Imperial, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Nora Emily of Tiff, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including his dedicated caregivers.

In addition to his parents, "Duggy" was preceded in death by one daughter, Sylvia Emily, five sisters, Rosie Bequette, Amanda "Babe" Eckhoff, Myrtle Skaggs, Fanny Sansoucie, Ellen Eckhoff, four brothers, John Emily, Tiny Emily, Roscoe Emily and Raymond Julius "Ruby" Emily.

"Duggy" enjoyed finding all types of treasures, digging roots, playing cards and watching western T.V. shows and movies.
He loved spending time outdoors, farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and enjoying Mother Nature. Duggy's greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Visitation was held Friday, October 15, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Rhonda Davis officiating. . Musical selections were: "Cadillac Man", "Daddy's Hands", "I Will Rise", "When I Get Where I'm Going" and "In The Arms of an Angel".

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
