Roxie Turner Garrett, 77, died Monday Apr 13, 1998 at Pocatello ID.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Apr 17, at the Bedford LDS Ward Chapel at 12 noon. Friends may call at Schwab Mortuary on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday at the church in Bedford from 10-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Bedford Cemetery.
She was born July 27, 1920 in Grover to Rawsel E. and Libbie Wolfley Turner. She married Gordon M. Garrett on Oct 31 1934. She was raised at Turnerville where she attended grade school through the eighth grade.
She graduated from Star Valley High School in Afton in 1938. In her later years she worked at Hastings Hardware and Gift Shop with her husband Gordon. She was a very active member of the LDS Church and held many callings during her lifetime. She loved crocheting, quilting and growing raspberries.
Roxie is survived by six children, Lonnie Garrett of Bedford, Myrna Chapman of Salt Lake City, Spencer Garrett of Farmington NM, Marilyn Crane of Bennington ID, LaRon Garrett of Paysen AZ, Duane Garrett of Healdsburg, CA, 32 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one brother Clifford Turner of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by a infant daughter and Duane's twin Elaine, her husband, four sister and one brother.
