MRS. PAULINE HEMLABEN (sic.) IS DEAD
OLD SETTLER PASSED AWAY WEDNESDAY MORNING -
HAD RESIDED HERE FORTY YEARS.
MRS. PAULINE HEMLABEN (sic.), an old resident of this city, expired Wednesday at 12:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Roggensack of 1789 Adam Street. The deceased was 80 years old at the time of her death and had been a resident of this city for the past forty years. Mrs. Hemlaben (sic) was a life long member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Roggensack and three sons, Albert of La Crosse, Ernest of Crookston, Wm. of St. Louis. The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter Friday morning at 9 o'clock to the Sacred Heart Church. Internment will be at Mt. Calvary." Burial was at St. John's Cemetery rather than as the paper reported. She was not buried next to her husband. Wheresas she was buried in a Catholic cemetery, he was buried in a nonsectarian cemetery, Linwood. Of her eight children, four predeceased her.
