Mary Jackson Loftus Craighill, 78, daughter of the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson of Jamestown, died June 4, 1999, in Mitchellville, Md.
Mrs. Craighill, who was born and raised in Jamestown, went with her family to Washington, D.C., in 1933 when her father was named to the Supreme Court but often returned to Western New York.
She spent most of her summers at the family's vacation homestead in Spring Creek, Pa. Mrs. Craighill was a pioneer in the field of sacred dance. Her company, St. Mark's Dance School and Company, which she retired from a year ago, performed in the Washington area and in Russia and the Czech Republic.
