Donal Jaques Anderson passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Sandy, UT.

Donal was born to Nephi Alma Anderson and Zilpah Ricks Jaques on May 21, 1922 in Weiser, Idaho. When he was a small child his family moved to the Grande Ronde Valley in Eastern Oregon where he was raised.

During World War II he served in the Army's 714th Railroad Battalion. Upon his discharge he married Donna Heisner on October 21, 1945 in La Grande, OR. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Don was a life long member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many positions of leadership and service. He was known as a "doer" and a hard worker and also for his fantastic sense of humor.

He is survived by his sweetheart of 65 years; children, David (Rose), of Centerville; Timothy (Naoko), of Portland, OR, Kathleen Allison (Andrew), of Herriman, and Carol Anne Rockwell, of West Jordan; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Theron and Lynn; daughter-in-law, Karen Anderson; son-in-law, Kevin Rockwell; and grandson, Jacob Allison.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15th, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sandy Crescent Park Fourth Ward, 10885 S. Pampas Dr. (835 East), Sandy, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday evening at the ward building from 6-8 p.m., and on Friday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
