Sophie Bott, daughter of Elizabeth Klein and George G. Foos was born April 7, 1896 in Merkel, Russia. She passed away August 27, 1987 at the Friendly Acres Home for the Aged, Newton, Kansas at the age of 91.
She was a housewife and mother and was a resident of Ness and Rush Counties since 1901. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Alexander.
She married John Adam Bott December 29, 1921 at her parents farm home near Bazine. He passed away November 27, 1971.
Survivors are two sons, Rev. LeRoy Bott, Newton, Carl Bott, Dighton, Kansas; one daughter, Ruth Wright, Monmouth, Illinois, a siser, Marie Mehler, Ness City, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
