Carroll Ackelson, 71, died Thursday, December 18, 2003 at Taylor House Hospice. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 20 at Altoona Funeral Home, with burial in Altoona Cemetery.
Carroll had served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Seabee's. He was self-employed, owning Achelson Sheet Metal, Inc. and was a member of Za Ga Zig Shrine and Eastgate Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by (omitted for privacy reasons).
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Taylor House.
