Mr. Durst was born Aug. 15, 1888 at Mount Alto, W. Va., and had lived in the area since 1921. He had been retired from the Columbia Cement Corp. for 20 years and prior to employment there he had been a farmer.
Surviving are his widow, the former Hattie M. Pickens of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Dupler of East Fultonham and Mrs. Irene Snider of Gratiot; one brother, Lightburn Durst of Point Pleasant, W. Va.; three grandchildren, three great granchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home at White Cottage 7 to 9 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial at Fultonham Cemetery.
