James Lewis Hollingsworth, 60, of 2232 Crook Street, died at the Kings Daughters Hospital early this morning after an illness of two weeks.
Hollingsworth resided in Ashland practically all of his life. He has been an employee of the American Rolling Milling since 1927. He was born in Carter County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hollingsworth natives of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 pm at the Unity Baptist Church. Rev L. H. Tipton, pastor, will officiate. The body will be removed from the Lazear Funeral Home at 1:30 to the church where it will lie in state for one hour preceding the services.
The body will be taken to the home Wednesday at 3:30 pm. He is survived by his widow, Bertie Hollingsworth, by six sons, Eugene and George, both of Ashland; Monroe Hollingsworth of Baltimore, MD; William with the US Army foreign Services, Athene of Westwood, J. L. also of Westwood. By one daughter, Mrs. Magdalene Fame, RFD, Ashland and by one brother, William Hollingsworth, Stanford, WV by three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Easterling, Rush, KY, Mrs. Hattie Burton, Grayson, Mrs. Jennie Elam, Stinson, KY.
