CHARLES AMERINE DIES IN NEWARK
Charles A. Amerine, 72, of Newark, a former resident of near Roseville, died at Newark City Hospital early this morning following a lingering illness of a heart ailment.
A retired school teacher and farmer, Mr. Amerine had resided in Newark for the past seven years. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, near White Cottage. While in Newark he had attended the East Main Street Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth, with the Army at Camp Davis, N.C., Arthur, who is serving with the Army overseas, and Emmett Amerine of the home; his mother, Mrs. Catherine Amerine, a brother, Jesse Amerine; a sister Mrs. Estella Sellars, and a niece, Mrs. Charles Johnson, all of near Somerset.
The body was removed to the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home at White Cottage.
