Doris Junkins, 86, of Noble, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Rennels officiating.

Burial will be in Noble Cemetery.

Mrs. Junkins was born on March 13, 1918, in Clay County, the daughter of Charles O. and Pearl (Luke) Fryman. She married Robert L. Junkins in January 1939. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1981.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Junkins is survived by three daughters, Myrna Tomblinson and her husband, Joe, of West Salem, Roberta Long and her husband, Buddy, of Batesville, Ark., and Barbara Thomann and her husband, Duane, of Noble; her special friend, Wayne Ater; two sisters, Dorothy Westbrook, of Batesville, Ark., and sister, Charlene Fulk, of Noble; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Jim Junkins, two brothers, Burt and Frank Fryman, a sister, Mildred, and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to Shepard's Purse or the Gideons.
