Also surviving are three daughters, Lisa (Robert) Carney, Lori (Richard) Skocaj and Jodi (Mark) Scott; one son, Steve (Liz) Halstead; 10 grandchildren, Alex Carney, Adam Carney, Garrett Carney, Emily Skocaj, Eric Skocaj, Steven Halstead, Katie Halstead, Jack Halstead, Jenna Scott and Ally Scott; and one sister, Josephine Squire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Rachel Skocaj; two sisters, Patsy Frye and Barbara Branan; and one brother, Earl "Zeke" Halstead.
Mike served in the United States Navy. He attended Bradley University and graduated from Brown's Business College. Mike was in real estate for over 40 years, starting with Monge Bros. Home Builders. In 1969, he and his friend, Chuck Wolfe, established Halstead & Wolfe Realtors, where they enjoyed a partnership for more than 35 years. Mike was a member and past president of the Pekin Area Board of Realtors.
