She was born on April 30, 1927, daughter of the late Chester and Leola Childs Bagley, and spent her entire life in Calhoun and Gordon County. She was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Lee Smith.
