Stewardson, Ill., Nov. 20 - Roy Bruce died at his home on West Mail street, Tuesday afternoon. On November 12 he met with a serious accident while engaged in painting a barn for A. J. Trueblood. He fell from his ladder to the ground, striking on his feet and fracturing his right leg just above the ankle. The bones were forced through the flesh at the side of the leg. Gangrene set in later and Monday, Drs. Pffeifer, Holmes and Hausemeir amputated the leg, from the effect of which he died. He leaves a wife and small child.
