Glen McClurg was born to Charles and Eva Chapman McClurg on October 28, 1917. He was married to Pauline Kemper at Superior, Nebraska on August 12, 1947. To this marriage, four sons were born: Frank, Eric, Charles and Gregory. Glen spent his married life caring for and raising his family with loving care and in farming, the occupation he dearly loved. He took an active interest in 4-H, for the young people where he taught basic electricity and participated in numerous other 4-H activities. Glen spent five years in the U.S. Army in the States and Europe, during World War II. He was awarded the good conduct medal, bronze star, bronze service arrow head, and the American service defense ribbon. He departed this life at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska, on August 27, 1975. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eva McClurg, and a brother, Clarence who passed away November, 1968. Those left behind include his wife, Pauline; her parents, Frank and Minnie Kemper; four sons: Frank and his wife, Vicki, Eric and his wife, Kathy, Charles and his wife, Linda, all of Logan, and Greg of Phillipsburg; one brother, Everett McClurg, Logan; three sisters: Agnes Erskine, Costa Mesa, Calif., Gertrude Brasted, Logan and Florence Brobst, residence
unknown; a sister-in-law, Gladys McClurg, Logan; four grandchildren: Bonita and Pamela and Glen and Patrick McClurg; numerous nieces and nephews many old friends and many new friends. Funeral services were held August 30 at the St. John's Church with burial in the St. John's Cemetery, Logan. Special graveside services were conducted by the VFW.
