Mrs. Ingram died at the Willamette Valley Medical Center on Friday, March 9, 2007. She was 93.
Born in Cape Fair, Mo., on July 1, 1913, she was the daughter of Victor C. and Laurabelle (Essary) Berry. She grew up in Cape Fair and Chanute, Kan., graduating from high school in Chanute and then holding various jobs there.
She married Robert Ingram on Oct. 14, 1935, in Lincoln, Neb. They lived in McPherson, Kan., and Vancouver, Wash., before settling in Amity in 1946. She worked as a cook at Amity Elementary School from 1956 to 1963.
Mrs. Ingram enjoyed attending senior citizen potlucks and crafting with the ladies group at the library. She had many hobbies, including reading, working crosswords, tending her garden and watching the Price is Right, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune game shows. Spending time with her great-grandchildren was a special pleasure.
Mrs. Ingram is survived by a son, Paul of Cle Elum, Wash.; a daughter, Patricia of Salem; a brother, Oral Dean Berry of Salem, Ill.; two sisters, Lorene Glosser of Salem, Ill., and Norma Temples of Vernal, Utah; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; by two brothers, Howard and Eugene Berry; and by a sister, Pansy VanOver.
