I think Washington was the son of Jeremiah Gardner who came to Belmont Co Ohio from Loudoun Co. Virginia

I believe that Washington and Rebecca both died and Their two boys were born in Moundsville, Marshall Co West Virginia and one son Jarrett was married there in 1856. The two younger boys were sent back to Guernsey Co. Ohio and raised by their apparent grandparents Benjamin and Rebecca Harris. I have not yet located their burial location.
Missing three children: Sarah, Andrew, and Mary. Andrew was living in Bureau County, ILL in 1860 where his brothers William and Jarrett had gone.
