Mrs. Robert L. Jacobson, 70, formerly active in church and patriotic organizations, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in her home, 212 Lincoln St She had been in falling health for several years.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson moved from Madi-son to Janesville in 1927 when he became the internal revenue agent here.
Mrs, Jacobson was a past president of St. Patrick's Home and School Assn; treasurer of the Catholic Woman's Club for two years; was active in the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women; past treasurer of American Legion Auxillary and a member of St. Patrick's Altar society.
The former Ruth Cass, daughter of Patrick and Anna Howe Cass, was born in. Cottage Grove Sept 15, 1886, Her grandparents Mr, and Mrs. James Cass, were married in St, Patrick's Church, Janesvllle, Sept. 2, 1951.[1851?]
Prior to her marriage to Robert Louis Jacobson in 1924, Mrs. Jacobson was a bookkeeper in Madison.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Clark Bolton, 575 N. Oakhill Ave.; four grandchildren, Kenneth, Ruth Ann, John and Diane Bolton; a brother, Thomas Cass, Suring, Wis, She was preceded in death by two brothers,
James and Henry Cass, and a sister Miss Anna Cass, all of Madison.
Services will be held at 8:.30 a.m. Friday in the Ryan Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock in St, Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where friends may
call Thursday afternoon and evening. The Catholic Woman's Club Rosary will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
