Jacob Ludvig Jacobson, 67, of Binford, died there Friday after a long illness.
Mr. Jacobson was born April 23, 1892 in Estelline, South Dakota, and married Gudrun Mortensen in 1921. They resided in Stutsman County before moving to Griggs County.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Eidfjord Lutheran Churh, the Rev. Soren Urberg officiating.
Besides his wife, he leaves five sons and eight daughters, Reuben, Larry, Mildred and Kenneth, at home, Mrs. Richard (Yvonne) Cclemens and Mrs. Keith (Violet) Harrington, both of Hampton, Minn.; Mrs. Lawrence (Josephine) Anderson, Spenard, Alaska; Mrs. Marvin (Gloria) Clemens, East Troy, Wis.; Carl and Leona of Denver, Col.; Mrs. Ralph (Irene) Clemens, South St. Paul, Minn.; Leah of Milwaukee, Wis., and Harry, in the Army at Fort Hood, Texas. There are 28 grandchildren.
He also leaves three brothers, Joe of Santa Barbara, Calif., Leonard of Bryl, Calif., and Melius of Courtenay; eight sisters, Mrs. Martha Thompson, Miss Julia Jacobson, Mrs. Nora Nelson, Mrs. Sverre (Selma) Rise, and Mrs. Harry (Rena) Kolpin, all of Sutton; Mrs. Josephine Kjelson, Mrs. Herbert (Alma) Risch and Mrs. Victor (Alvina) Nelson, all of Owatonna, Minn.
