My maternal grandfather.

He fought in Vietnam.

Waterville- David Boulter Haley, 59, of Waterville, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at MaineGeneral Medical Ceneter-Thayer Unit, Waterville, following a long illness.

He was born December 31, 1941, in Farmington, a son of Steve Haley & Ruth (Boulter) Haley, and attended the University of Maine in Farmington.
David had worked at International Paper in Jay for a few years before moving to Waterville.

He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Waterville, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Farmington and the American Legion Post in Farmington. He enjoyed playing drums and football.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Paulette (Harris) Haley, of Waterville; five daughters, Teri Cook, Elizabeth Richmond, Kimberlee Haley, Shauna Clausen and her husband Rick; two granddaughters, Haley (me) and Calli; (younger sister) a step-grandson, Kevin; brothers, Mark Haley, Paul Haley, Robert Haley, and Gary Haley; sisters, Joyce Cote and Janice Haley; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m Friday, June 15, at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at 1 Carver St., Apt. 24, Waterville 04901.
Arrangements are under the care of Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville.
