He was a lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church of Florian where he served as trustee for many years.
Joseph was an avid story teller and enjoyed playing pinochle and dominoes with his grandchildren.
He passed away on Thursday evening, January 22, 2004, at home surrounded by his family.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Frances and four daughters and one son; Audrey of Bismarck, ND, Theresa (Vernon) of Strandquist, MN, Diane of Karlstad, MN, Rita (Ken) Hodny of Newfolden, MN and Joseph E. (Kim) of Stephen, MN. Also surviving is a sister, Polly Kuznia of Stephen, MN, sixteen grandchildren; Angela, Joey, Josh, Jacob, Jeramiah, Johnathon, Jesse, Anne, Philomena, Joachim, MariAna, Nick, Joe, Sara (J.D.), Julie and Chris, two great-grandchildren, Eric and Paige, many nieces and nephews and very special friend, Meridith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frank, John, Tony, Raymond, Roman, Pete, Leonard and sister, Dorothy Rapacz.
FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 AM on Monday, January 26, 2004 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, MN. VISITATION: after 5:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, January 25, 2006 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian and one hour before services at the church on Monday. INTERMENT: Assumption Cemetery, Florian, MN.
