Rantoul - Eleonore Lindsey, 88, of Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford, formerly of Rantoul, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 1, 1998) at the nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, Thomasboro. The Rev. Henry Berg will officiate. Burial will be in Beckman Cemetery, Thomasboro.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul.
Mrs. Lindsey was born Sept. 20, 1909 in Compromise Township, a daughter of Jacob and Carrie Meyer Christians.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Buhr of Rantoul; a son, Dean Lindsey of Panorama Village, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Mrs. Lindsey was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Thomasboro, where she was a member of the choir and the Ladies Aid. She worked at the First National Bank of Thomasboro for many years.
Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church at Thomasboro, Country Health Nursing Home at Gifford of an organization of the donors choice.
