Elminie was the daughter of David Levi Callaway & Nancy Luvicy Jones. Elminie married Willie Flemming (Goodge) DeLoach 19 Jan 1902 at her home, the home of Rev. David Levi Callaway. They were married by Elder H. B. Wilkinson, and Elminie's family was present.

According to family tradition, this story has been passed down as the way Goodge and Elminie met and married. It was written in the 2007 DeLoach Cousins Reunion booklet, and was shared with the family: "The story goes that Grandpa Goodge was a bridge builder and was boarding at the home of Grandma Elminie's family while he was working in the area. When his work was finished and he was ready to leave, he told Grandma's father [Rev. Levi Callaway] that he was taking Elminie with him. There was some discussion about a dowry, but Grandpa said he did not care if she had nothing but her nightgown, she was going with him..." She did go with him, but not before they were married. Elminie was 20 years old, and Goodge was 25. They had 13 children, 59 great-grandchildren, and in 2007, they had 193 great-great grandchildren, and 58 great-great-great grandchildren. That was a total of 462 direct descendents in 2007. Goodge and Elminie were married for 55 years. Elminie died at the age of 74, and Goodge at age 86.

On 15 Apr 1916, both Elminie and Goodge became members of Anderson's Primitive Baptist Church near Collins, Ga. On 19 Jul 1919, both were granted letters of recommendation from Anderson's. They became charter members of Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church where they are now buried. Elminie is found in some church records as 'Elmina'. Her name is pronounced "El-my'-nee".

1. Ruth DeLoach (18 Oct 1902 - 28 May 1988); Ruth married 21 Oct 1922 to William Troy Sapp. They had 6 children. Ruth is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

2. Fannie Louvicy DeLoach (02 May 1904 - 27 Jan 1995); Fannie married 19 Mar 1921 to William Felton Eason. They had 12 children. Fannie is buried in the Eason Family Cemetery in Evans County in the Undine Community.

3. Mittie DeLoach (24 Feb 1906 - 19 May 1978); Mittie married 17 Jul 1927 to Erastus Lemont Burnsed. They had 2 children. Mittie is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

4. Raymond Levi DeLoach (16 Oct 1907 - 03 Dec 1988); Raymond married 30 Aug 1925 to Annie Colson. They had 10 children. Raymond is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

5. Annie Edna DeLoach (03 Nov 1909 - 15 Oct 1988); Edna married 30 Aug 1925 to Rufus Sapp. They had 6 children. Edna is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

6. John Lehmon DeLoach (22 Oct 1911 - 15 Jul 1972); John married 23 Sep 1933 to Lera Martin. They had 5 children. John is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

7. Walter Ross (Boss) DeLoach (19 Aug 1913 - 25 Dec 2005); Boss married 12 Nov 1932 to Effie Utah (Toy) Grice. They had 4 children. Boss is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

8. David Harris (Dave) DeLoach (17 Jan 1916 - 08 Oct 1985); Dave married Aug 1936 to Iona Anderson. They had 2 children. Dave is buried at Brewton Cemetery in Hagan, Ga.

9. Mary Jane DeLoach (10 Dec 1918 - 10 Oct 2010); Jane married Charles Robert Hammock. They had one son, born 20 Sep 1947, stillborn. Jane is buried at Brewton Cemetery in Hagan, Ga.

10. Benjamin Hoyt DeLoach (27 Oct 1919 - 31 Jan 1988); Hoyt married 04 Oct 1944 to Betty Jean Belmont. They had 5 children. Hoyt is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

11. Willie Elton DeLoach (12 Oct 1921 - 05 Jul 2007); Elton married 21 Aug 1941 to Doris Eloise Rogers. They had 4 children. Elton is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

12. Perry Lee DeLoach (28 Jun 1923 - 06 May 2004); Perry Lee married 22 Dec 1946 to Jean Holloway. They had 1 daughter. Perry Lee is buried at Canoochee Primitive Bapt. Church Cemetery.

13 Nannie Kate DeLoach married Johnny Gordon Massey. They have 1 daughter.
