Mack Yates, 88, of Clarksville died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.


He was a son of the late Lorenzo and Maude Acord Yates, Baptist, and retired Eureka Brick and Tile Company employee.


Survivors are his widow, Edith Vire Yates; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Glenda and Lee Zeiler of Clarksville, Marcella Langley of Piggott, Wanda and Bruce Roberts of Arlington, Texas, and Lavella and Jim Hale of Russellville; one brother, Herla Yates of Oark; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.


Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, at the Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Micheal Sawyer, Rev. Sam Howell, and Rev. Clyde Vire officiating.


Burial was in Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.


Active pallbearers were Kyle Johnson, Lance Langley, Blue Mack Zeiler, Dustin Zeiler, Lewis Mordue, Jared Langley, and Doug Manning.


Honorary pallbearers were Harold Pitts, Walter Nowotny, Ken Childers, Mark Nowotny, Jerry Scoggins, Herman Houston, and Darrell Williams.
