Carolynn W. Jackson

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolynn W. Jackson, 59, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2004 at Friendship Baptist Church. Brother Junior Davis and the Rev. R.D. Michael officiated. Burial followed in Craig Springs Cemetery.

A native of Cedar Bluff and resident of Sturgis, Mrs. Jackson was a retired recreational director at Rolling Hills Developmental Center in Starkville and Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at her residence in Sturgis.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Jackson of Sturgis; one daughter, Teresa Carol Blaine of Weir; four sisters, Bessie Davis of Louisville, Pauline Williams of Cedar Bluff; Lou Simpson of Starkville and Bonnie Farley of Dresden, Tenn.; one brother, Neal Williams of Cedar Bluff; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Palmer Home for Children in memory of Mrs. Carolynn W. Jackson, 400 Russell Street, Starkville, MS 39759.

Starkville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
