Berchie Marie (French) Altizer, 69, was taken from her family unexpectedly by her Lord on Oct. 2, 2010, in Kingfisher.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Bird Creek Cemetery located eight miles east of Kingfisher on State Highway 33, two miles north on Big Four Road and 1/2 mile east, with the Rev. David Krepel officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher.
She was born July 17, 1941, to the parents of Charles and Ruth French in Wann, Okla.
She graduated in 1959, from Wann.
Mrs. Altizer moved to Kingfisher in 1967.
She married Bill Altizer in 1972 in Oklahoma City.
They lived on a family farm where she resided in the Big Four area until her time of death.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her hobbies included playing music at the nursing homes, fishing, outdoors, sewing and woodwork.
Berchie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and her husband, Bill Altizer.
She leaves behind three sons, Louis Jones and wife Pam of Kingfisher, Harold Jones and partner Cheyenne of Oklahoma City and Jerry Jones of Kingfisher; one daughter, Neva Strange and husband Cam of Kingfisher; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Our loving family member will be missed by everyone.
