Herman Adkins , Club Manager
-- ROCK HILL- Mr. Herman G. Adkins , 91, of 2424 Adkins Ave. died June 26, 1990, at Veterans hospital in Columbia.
Funeral is 4 p.m. Thursday at West End Baptist Church, with Dr. Broadus Moody officiating. Burial is in Grandview Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the home of William Adkins Sr., 16 Graham Street.
Born in Chester, Mr. Adkins was a veteran of World War I, recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 34, York Masonic Lodge III, York County Crescent Shrine Club. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and former Rock Hill Country Club manager.
Survivors are his son, William F. Adkins Sr.; sister, Mrs. Mary Black; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
