Daly of Lake Bluff, Ill., and Mrs. George M. Illich of Lake Forest, Ill.; seven grandchildren. Mr. Burnham is the brother of Mrs. Margaret B. Stower, John, and Hubert Burnham. Memorial service 2 p. m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian church, Chicago avenue and Lake street, Evanston. Burial private. Please omit flowers.

Daniel Hudson Burnham, Jr. was born in Chicago in 1886. The son of the well known Chicago architect for whom he was named, he followed in his father's footsteps in becoming an architect. He studied at Harvard Architectural School from 1907-1909 then became a draftsman and building supervisor in his father's office. When his father died in 1911 he and his brother, Hubert, also an architect, took over the office for a short time, then started Graham Burnham and Co, from 1912-1917. The brothers went out on their own and in 1917 Daniel and Hubert opened their last firm of Burnham and Hammond.
Mr. Burnham served as Captain of the Construction Division, Quarter Master Corps during WWI (1918-19). He was a member of the Chicago Architecture Club, the Chicago Regional Plan Association (1924-55), and a member and Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Chicago Chapter.
He was married twice, and was the father of two sons, Daniel, III (b. 7/2/1914) and Spencer, who predeceased his father
