He was born Nov. 16, 1905 at Richland, the son of Jean and Ann Yule Davis. He married Blanche Ingle at Ollie Sept, 20, 1924. They lived in the Ollie and Sigourney communities before moving to their present home 11 years ago. He was a painter and farmer.
Survivors include his wife Blanche; one son Leo Vern of Houston, Texas; one daughter Mrs. Bernard (Cleo) Berg of rural Wellman; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Vesta Waugh of Fairfield, Mrs. Edith Greeson of Richland and Mrs. Opal Armstrong of Clearwater, Fla. and one brother Frank Davis of Stockport. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman with burial at Ollie Cemetery.
