Lorene married Charles Koelsch in 1943 and was a homemaker raising their seven children. A strong woman with an exceptional work ethic, Lorene was admired by many for her exquisite penmanship. She loved the outdoors, gardening and especially family gatherings.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Koelsch in 2002; and her parents. She is survived by her children, Judith Snyder, Janet Sagert, James (Vicki) Koelsch, David (Trisha) Koelsch, Joyce (Thomas) Eley, Gerard (Joyce) Koelsch, and Jacqueline (Greg) Oehlers; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. Toledo, OH 43623 (west of Corey Rd.) on Friday, December 3rd, from 3-8:00pm with a 7:00pm Prayer Service. Funeral Services was on Saturday, December 4th, with 10:45am prayers at the funeral home followed by 12:00pm Mass at Holy Trinity in Assumption, OH. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Assumption. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Building Fund or Hospice of Fulton County.
