Son of Francis Marion Bryan and #2 Martha Ann (Kennedy). Husband of #1 Fannie Doke, married 1903, she died Polk Co., Missouri. #2 Delia (Coffman) Rowe, married March 21, 1936.

Obituary -

"Marion M. Bryan died last Thursday. Marion M. Bryan, who had been bedfast at his home on West Tank Avenue for about two years, died of a heart attack at his home last Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

Marion McDonald Bryan was born June 20, 1871 in Polk Co., Missouri. He was 72 years, 11 months and 18 days of age at death. In 1903 Mr. Bryan was married to Fannie Doke in Polk Co., Missouri. She preceded him in death 17 years ago. He came to Neodesha in 1927 and on March 21, 1936, Mr. Bryan was united in marriage to Della Rowe here in Neodesha. Mr. Bryan farmed in Polk Co, Missouri and since coming to Neodesha he worked at odd jobs until his health failed. He professed his faith in Christ when a young man and has since lived a Christian life. He was a good honest, kindly man.

Besides his wife Mr. Bryan is survived by one sister, Mrs. Roy Johnson, of Independence; several nieces and nephews. Two of his nephews are in the service. One son by his first wife died at birth. Three sisters, three half-sisters, three brothers, one half brother and his parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the Wm. Fawcett Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Carl H. Kruse, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Ernest Rowe and Mrs. Boyd Bryant, accompanied by Mrs. Ernest Rowe, sang "Jesus Understands In That City". Interment was made in the Ross Cemetery, west of Neodesha, and the casket bearers were Edward Powell, George Dragoo, Tom Weaver, L. L. Lawson, Herbert Briles and Ransom McClure.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were James F. Johnson of Augusta, Ksnsas, Mr. and Mrs. Louie A. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. David Etter, Mrs. Robert Johnson and baby, Mrs. Frank Johnson, Mrs. Cecil Shook and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse N. Moore and son Eugene and Mrs. Don Jones all of Independence."
