Resident of Wichita, 81, Dies in Joplin, Missouri.
A Wichita resident since 1937, Mrs. Martha Jane Dorsey Vermillion, of 1215 Figg, died Monday. Born Feb. 4th, 1881 in Rice County, Kansas, she lived in Frederick, Kansas prior to coming to Wichita. She was the widow of Henry Vermillion, a businessman at Frederick, Kansas for many years prior to his death in 1936. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Fose, Kilgore, Texas, Mrs. Blanche Buehler, of Sterling, Kansas and Yvonne Vermillion, of Winfield, Kansas, two sons Edward Vermillion, of Las Vegas, Nevada and F. H. Vermillion of Dodge City, Kansas. Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A grand daughter raised by Mrs. Vermillion, Mrs. Martha Lovett Perryman of the home address, also survives.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, Wednesday at the Cochran Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1 pm at the Frederick, Kansas cemetery.
