Barbara Parker (67), of Edmond, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010. Barbara lived life to the fullest, enjoying it and giving it away to others. When she was in the room, everyone knew it; yet when she spoke to you, you were the only one there. Barbara was always in motion from dancing competitively to playing tennis to playing bridge several times a week. She taught in Oklahoma City Schools for more than 30 years. She enjoyed the challenge of nurturing the "toughest" kids because she felt they needed her the most. She was also active in her church. Barbara leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Stephanie Parker, and four much loved grandchildren, Josh, Joel, Noah and Grace, as well as cousins and extended family and many, many friends. A Rosary Service will be held at 6pm, Friday, October 1, at Crawford Family Funeral Service, 610 NW 178 St., Edmond. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 2, under direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond. Burial will be at 3:30 pm at Pie Flat Cemetery near Sayre, OK.
