Charles "Chuck" Erickson, 46, of Fertile, died Monday, March 30, 1992 in the Riverview Hospital in Crookston.

He was born December 6, 1945 to Rolf and Grace (Jorgenson) Erickson in Robbinsdale. At the age of 6 months he moved with his family to the Fertile area. He grew up and attended the Fertile-Beltrami Public School, graduating in 1963. He then worked for the Robertson Lumber Company in Fertile.

On October 19, 1965, he was inducted into the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam Conflict until being honorably discharged on October 18, 1967.

He returned to Fertile and continued to work for the Robertson Lumber company. He briefly worked for Dave's Standard in Fertile, and about a year later, returned to Robertson's where he worked for about 20 more years.

Since the fall of 1990, he had been self employed as a craftsman, specializing in cabinet making, remodeling, and house construction.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Fertile; a son, Troy, of Fargo, North Dakota; a daughter, Jamie, of Fertile; his father Rolf of Fertile; and three sisters, Jacquelyn (Mrs. Derwyn) Anderson of St. Joseph, Sandra (Mrs. Thomas) Robinson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Patricia (Mrs. Richard) Roragen of Fertile.
