Christine A. "Teeney" Sitman, 79, of Bellwood died unexpectedly Saturday at her home.
She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Alex A. and Margaret T. (DeStefano) Pedro. She married Robert W. Sitman. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2004.
She is survived by three sons: Robert W. Jr. (Beth) of New Florence, Alex (Deb) of Bellwood and Chris (Sherry) of Amberson; two daughters: Margaret (David) Campbell of Newark, Del., and Esther Shock of Bellwood; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Clara C. Dumm of Dubois; all of whom she loved.
Teeney retired as an assembly line worker at SKF Industries, Altoona.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellwood.
Teeney enjoyed baking and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellwood, by the Rev. David H. Roesch. Committal will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
