"When my friend Mike was having a rough day, I said, "Let's record a song about it, right now." I sat him down in front of a Mac laptop and found this GarageBand loop. Without a real mic (just using the computer's internal microphone), these words spilled out spontaneously. I just kept saying "Again, more," to keep him going, then edited and arranged it. All the "vocal effects" are just Mike, sitting in front of my computer, cupping his hands over his mouth.

One of the songs we played in church at the time went, "Holiness, holiness, that's what I long for." Look for Mike's twisted version in the last verse. Only Mike…

'Kicking back, but I'm standing up
I'm laying down, but I'm running around
I'm chilling out, but I'm super-hot
Don't know what I got, but it's a
Bad case of monkey jive
Bad case of monkey jive blues
Swinging from the trees
Eat bananas from the leaves

I'm enraged by the monkey jive blues
I've been infected by a germ bug
Infected by the jungle jive blues
I don't feel so good
I feel misunderstood
I'm going, going nowhere
But my head is spinning from the jungle jive blues

A tornado has touched down in my heart, it's been
Strangled and thrown apart, I've been
Broken worse, tormented
TormentedTormentedTormented
Evilness, evilness, that's what I long for
Evilness of the jungle
Supernatural spells

Munkle jive, munkle jive, monkey jive jungle blues'"
