Mrs. Benjamin P. Horton, resident of Oak Park since 1901 and of a family prominent here for many years, died suddenly Sunday. She had presided at dinner and all her family was present, her two sons, their wives and two grandchildren and Mr. Horton. When dinner was over, she felt ill and in a few minutes she was unconscious and death occurred soon afterward.
Funeral services took place at the house at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Harold Holt of Grace Episcopal church officiating. Interment was at Forest Home.
The surviving members of her family are Mr. Horton, their two sons, Stephen C. and Robert H. Horton, their wives and two grandchildren. She was a member of Grace church of the Infant Welfare society and Nineteenth Century Woman's club.
